Cupping therapy is an ancient Chinese Medicine healing technique that helps to ease pain and remove blood stagnation. Cupping works by breaking up capilaries and helping to move stagnated blood and qi. When used consistently, this practice can help with chronic pain, stuck emotions, and tension.

Gua sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. Alternatively called ‘muscle scraping,' Gua sha is defined as instrument-assisted unidirectional press-stroking of a lubricated area of the body surface to intentionally break up capillaries and remove blood stagnation. Modern research shows the transitory therapeutic petechiae produce an anti inflammatory and immune protective effect that persists for days following a single Gua sha treatment.

NADA involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. The NADA protocol is used to treat trauma, substance misuse, abuse, and mental health conditions. NADA is always free, and can be added on to a bodywork session if we decide it would be helpful.

Why sliding scale?
The sliding scale is designed to keep my services as accessible and affordable as possible. Those paying at the high end of the scale help pay for people who might otherwise be unable to get regular bodywork. use this graphic to understand where you might fall on the sliding scale. You do not need to stick to the same price every time, I understand that access to money fluctuates.
